Default BCT QQ Baffles & Side Shots Question

Just got mine today. Anyone else istall them in V&H side shots? How far in should they go? The instructions say "minimum 3" but generally speaking approx 6" from the exit is the sweet spot". I tried calling BCT (but they are closed for the day) to see if they recommended something a little more specific for the side shots. Just thought someone here with the same pipes may have contacted them for the info.

Thanks

b

Actually you can't get the QQ six inches into the side shots (only about 5") ... they neck down to 1-3/4" just prior to the power chamber .... so just wondering should they go in as far as possible or leave them back a bit from where they neck down?

I actually just got an email response from BCT and they said to make sure that none of the cone (the QQ has a mesh cone that points toward the engine) extends into 1-3/4" portion (head pipe).

Thanks for the input guys ..... I just wanted to be sure before I started drilling holes and a big thanks to BCT for the after hours support. The snow will be falling in a few weeks here so gotta make the most of what little riding season we have left!

i put mine in at the correct 6" one pipe was close to the smaller size, but i ended up going back to the stock baffles as I lost to much top end power. (checked with GPS and tuned with Vtune on TTS)

I had some bct regulars installed as far as i could go, hated the sound and lost bottom end.
Switched ot bct qq installed in stock holes and its better, just my .02
