Default WideGlide Conversion?

I have decided to just go with a WideGlide conversion by chainging out my triples, wheel and spacers. Does anyone know if the wide version triple that these people sell are the same diminsions as a WideGlide?

Yes. I have emailed them about the trees in the past. Will work just fine.

Last time I spoke with them you had to press the shaft in yourself. If that's an issue may be ring them up and see if that's still the case. - George

If you are refering to the steering stem that should not be a problem since I have a press. But I might have to put it on hold, I have my eye on a chrome plated set from elsewhere for only $10.00 more.

You know ghost, I was going to say something here, and I got lost in your avatar!

Oh yeah, if there's more than one of those chrome ones, please share where. Now, back to the avatar!

I just talked to the guy that has it. He doesn't know what he has. He says it is a WideGlide replacement tree but he says it doesn't have any rake built into it. I told him that if I was not mistaken the stock WG tree has 2 degrees of rake. I have to check into it a little more.

I have the chance to pick up a brand new complete front wheel assembly for a WideGlide. 21" wheel, Metzler MH90 tire and rotor ready to bolt on. The only problem is is that it is for a 2005 model with a 3/4" axle. Does anyone know if I can change out the bearings and make this wheel work. Maybe have to bore out the hub?

Any good bearing supply shop will be able to set you up with the correct bearing. just take them the hub and axle and they will measure and get you the correct bearing.
