Vibration was strong on the first start right after pipe installed!
Took a 1st ride(new pipe) today, vibration back to normal, but lots of popping!!
smoke test there is no exhaust leak around header pipe!
is that popping normal from Thunderheader?
It will pop until you get it tuned, or if you have an auto-tune feature and it dials in. Also, give it a good ride, and let it cool. Recheck your exhaust flange nuts.
It was not easy at all, there was difficult to get it align for both cylinders!
I had some trouble getting it to line up the first time too. I've since had it off and on 2 more times and now it takes minutes to install....go figure!
There was some more vibration at first as well, but it seems to have gotten better. The pipe also seems to sound better, the more miles I rack up on it...not sure if anyone else noticed the same.
They really are a pain in the *** to install.I've had mine on and off a total of three times and it doesn't get much better. They will pop quite a bit until you get it tuned right. Mine was terrible till I had the bike tuned on a dyno now it still pops once in awhile but much quieter.
Another question here!
I have the heat shield set on last day!
but the collector shield is a joke!! it doesn't fit,
so I'm thinking taking it off and let it roll this way, my concern is...
will the collector area get color blue later?
anyone got an answer?
Thanks
It just doesn't fit well with the front header pipe! as someone said: looks they are make in 2 different factory.
I'm going to remove that joke, and ignore if it ture blue on not!
