Yes, I got my Kury's off this forum used and they came with a rear shifter attached. I didn't think to change it out when I installed thinking it was the same. Then I immediatly noticed it was hard to find Neutral. I figured it was just the way forwards were and I'd live with it. Then I seen tread's on here suggesting to change out rear lever's. so I took another look and sure enough the lever that I didn't install was longer by about 2". So I swapped them out and it fixed the Neutral problem right away. Now on my 08 SB it doesn't look like the old shifter will come out. You take out the hex bolt and slide the lever out but it hits the primary. So if you pry on the bottom and push on the top it will pop off. Same thing when you go to put the new one on. set it on at an angle then push on the bottom and pull on the top and it will pop on. good luck. Takes about 10 min.

I have kury's on my bike the only problelms I have had is that they stick every once in a while. I just spray some WD-40 in the front shift joint and it frees them up. I'm sure if I took the fron shifter shaft apart and added some more grease they should be fine.

took mine apart same problem loaded it with anti seize still would stick when hot so i opened the bushing up with a drill bit about 1/64" bigger that was 8,000 miles ago they never stuck again

When I had my super glide, I installed the kury kit. I had a lil prob with N, but I just tried changing the angle of the shift lever and it cured the problem.

There's your answers right there. The geometry is off when you install the longer shift arm up front and you're too lazy to change out the rear. The pedal throw is too short to consistently find neutral. It does make for fast shifts when running through the gears, which is fine for hot rodding, but makes you look pretty lame in normal riding conditions. I could go on and tell you about the reasoning behind the change in engineering between the early (short shifter) and the current one, but I'd be wasting my breath.
