i did the weld job on my 06 dyna to piece rotor, putting a small weld on each of the 8 bolts. i now seem to have a bit more vibration during acceleration. is the rotor a balance part and could the small welds throw it off enough to cause my vibration. any help at all would be great. dealer not wanting to give much info on the issue.
*Edit* You are talking about the stator right? How big of tacks did you put on it? Can you post up pics? I was going to do a similar job, but we found out Joe's stator had a welded one from the factory. Might be worth looking for a factory welded one?

ya. i wish i had pics but its already in the bike. the new upgraded rotor and stator is on back order at all the dealers i called. thought i would give the weld a try. put just a small spot weld on the head of each bolt.
redrubicon2004,
just so you know i was told you cannot replace just the rotor. the upgrade is a bit larger so you have to buy the matching stator. HD will do anything to get you cash i guess.
