I'm not as tall as you but, I'm 5'10 & 280lbs. I went with forwards and got rid of that stock seat. Go with a good seat that moves you back a little and I think you'll be fine. I also swapped out the stock shocks for some progressive 412 hd's.
6'6" 215 with stock forwards with heel rests set in such a way that they feel like floorboards. I love this bike. It's more comfy for my long legs than the touring bikes.
This is my first post on these forums. I'm soon to by my first Harley and am pumped! I'm leaning completely towards the Dyna family and am pretty sure I will not be swayed at this stage.
I was looking at the 2010 Fat Bobs and like them and all that I hear about them but I really enjoy the looks of the Superglides. To me the way my bike is gonna look is obviously important the only problem I have is I'm a pretty big guy and I'm looking for any advice from any other size able riders about how comfortable a SuperGlide with forward controls will be???
I'm 6'3 and about 270 pounds
I'm 6' 3"/300 lbs. (But I plan to lose some!) I ride a 09 FXDC with a Sundowner solo seat. No problems, but I do use mid controls and a pair of floorboards in the forward footrest position. I like the mids for controlling the bike in fun riding.
