Amazing how many people would buy something so simple to make, but I did the same thing with your tank lift.

Simple for me to fab, but your cheap price made it not worth my time!
Yeah unfortunately I don't know how to weld. So I bought Jackyl's tank lift, and his tour pack mount. Both of which work great, are affordable, and the craftsmanship is really top notch.

The only thing I'm concerned about with the aftermarket fairing is how it will sit on the bike.

I have a friend who just got rid of his '08 Heritage for an '09 Ultra. When he had the Heritage, he purchased one of those Quadzilla fairings. The way the fairing sat on the Heritage made it look like it didn't belong. It sat too far out and too high on the bike -- looked awkward.

So over the past month or so while looking for aftermarket fairings for the Dyna, I've been concerned that one of these fairings will look out of place unless the mounting system is designed with that in mind -- to sit snug and at the right height.

But now that jackyl may be making some mounts, and given he did such a good job with the other products I've purchased, I'm worried about that a lot less now

Jackyl,

As you will know, dyna's come with 39, 41 and 49 mm fork tubes. In attachement you will find a diagram on the use of different types of detachable quick release clamps, as well as their p/n's.

More detailed info on other p/n's soon to be found in the instruction sheets ***H-D instruction sheets database***

I hope you will keep us informed on the prototypes design process.
