Any ideas how I could make my bike look more "old school" without breaking the bank? I have gone back to stock mirrors and exchanged the lisence plate bracket with a slanted one. Everything else is still the same.
old school to me means it looks old. i had a guy ask what year mine was and when i said 09,, he wigged out, said he thought it was a 50"s model that had been restored. granted , he"s an idiot, but i saw a 57 harley in a calender that was very similer to mine, i just need a bicycle type solo seat and brown bags w/ fringe & its real close.
I cringe every time I hear the term "ol skool". All I hear is, "Can you tell me what to do to make my bike look like something it's not?" Dude, customize your bike however you want. Don't do it to fit in with some stupid *** trend. Pipe wrap, red wheels and a spring seat don't make your bike look Old, it makes You look like a poser. Do what YOU like. Drop it if you want, lift it with performance shocks, have it painted, powdercoat the frame hot pink, whatever you like!
I like the black rims, ghostrider. Makes the front tire look beefier.
Thanks. But the black rims are gone as soon as I make the switch to a wideglide front here in a couple of weeks. Going with a 21x2.15 chrome rim with an MH 90x21 up front.
For me old schools its bobber style and maybe it's not how it should be called.
I'd relocate the license plate, do something about the rear fender, remove the front one, remove tank thingies, and change the air intake for an "old school" one (the small rounded ones)
Me thinks we protest to much. The only one that has to be happy with your bike is your and perhaps the passenger. Comfort and safety somehow, come out higher on my list than looking cool. Gave up looking cool in high school. If you remove your relectors and ride where I live, someone will rund you over.

You wouldn't be interested in selling them would you? I have an '06 Street Bob that is crying out for black rims.
