You got it right Mud. The leather I'm talking about is a hand tooled piece I did myself and I'm in the process of cutting it to fit my seat pan that was another custom job by my best friend who lives in Texas. I took up leather tooling recently and I kind of took to it like a fish to water. If there's enough interest in it from other people, I may consider doing it as a side gig for some extra spending $$$. That way I can keep feeding the modification beast.
Has anyone else thought about lowering the front fender to hug the tire a little closer or is it just me who thinks it's just a smidgen too high?
Scooter is looking better and better sdm.
Got me wondering about the leather stuff. Seat??

Really cool deal. Buying a new seat is great,
but makin it yourself, it don't get no better than that.
It has been a while since I slept through physics, but as I recall hot gases expand creating lower density - if it weren't in a confined space.
I think what you are getting from hotter exhaust is more back pressure. That may or may not lead to better performance - it depends on the RPM range you are talking about.
I have to fess up some. I nearly plagiarized this line from the Thermo Tech web site. I figured they knew what they were talking about. Plus it made me sound smart.

Hey I am guessing here. Hot gases will expand into whatever space is available. There are two directions. Out the tailpipe or up the pipe towards the valvle causing increased back-pressure.
