Got back from rolling thunder and now I want a belt drive. Thoughts? I like the looks and price of the ultima 2" ($650). The other option is bds 1.75"
Which is $2100. Primo looks weird to me.
That certainly is a big price jump. John at miacycles has one on a 120" bagger and he said other than the initial maintenance at 500 or so. Miles, I forget, he hasn't had a problem with his Ultima.
I call bull **** on that your primo looks beautiful lol
Edit but I do love my ultima
LMAO!! Take the belt guard off and it's the same raw pulleys and belt though pretty much. Primo has EXCELENT customer service! I called about which pulley to get, and dude was on the phone with me for 25 minutes calculating which one to get to within 1/2 rpms at a certain speed. PLUS, everyone I talked to and read about the Primo, nothing but good stuff from them.
BUT...they all pretty much do the same thing..look bad ***! I can only speak for Primo, they have a lot of teeth for the clutch plates to slide in to help reduce the "dry clutch" rattle. I don't think mine is as annoying as everyone was saying they are, you hear it, but it's not bad at all! Clutch doesn't require a power lifters forearm to pull in either. VERY SIMPLE TO INSTALL IF YOU HAVE SOME KNOWLEDGE There is my .02 worth
