I am getting ready to pull the trigger on a set of wheels for my '08 fatbob. I have a brand selected but was wondering if anyone is running a set of 18" low profile tires on a fatbob? I saw a mockup of 18's on a fatbob that HD had customized on their website and I love the look. Just curious if anyone has any experience with them? I have a 21" on my bagger and love the handling and am hoping for similar results on the fatbob.
I don't know if any of the Fat Bob guys have made the leap yet, but I want to as well. The handling shouldn't change, even though you are increasing the size of the wheel, the new tires will have a shorter side wall to make up most of the difference.
Oh, and if you're going 18" you might want to consider a 5.5" rim since then you have a safe option of upping the back tire to a 200.
yeah we are doing a 5.5 rear. I have pretty much made my mind up to go ahead and order them. I'm gonna think about it a little more. I just kinda hate to be the guinea pig.
