Default Takeoff Pipes

What does everyone do with their takeoff pipes? I changed my pipes shortly after getting my bike and they have been sitting in my basement ever since. I bought the bike in April. I hate to just throw them in the garbage. Could I possibly sell them? Anyone have any ideas? They came off of a 2007 superglide custom.

Some folks try and sell stock mufflers here, then wind up keeping them in basement/garage/shed.

Don't throw them in the trash!

Hang on to them for a while. If you decide to to sell or trade in your bike, re-install the stock pipes & either sell the after markets or install em on your new ride.
My stock Fat Bob exhaust has been boxed away in the garage since April 2008.

Offer to give them to a fellow forum member for the cost of shipping.
I collected several sets of take offs at no cost, cut em up & re-welded them into my own exhaust.

I hung mine on the wall until I find somewhere better for them... If I ever sell the Rineharts will come off and they will go back on.

Save them just in case you move to California.

Keep them unless you will be happy getting a couple of bucks. If you ever sell, the new owner may want them, or in case some kind of new noise reg gets passed.

Keep them, I still have stock parts from 10 bikes ago, you just never know when you will need them.

I just changed out my Fatbob exhaust yesterday to some V&H shortshots. Plan on reassembling the stock headers, Screamin' Eagle mufflers, and heatshields and hanging the whole mess up on the wall in the garage as some sort of "art" piece.

I have mine sitting on the garage floor. I would save them in case I move to California but I don't have a dress and matching high heels to go with them.
