I originally thought to keep 'em and black them out to see what the bike looks like as a winter pass-time,I may still black them out! And hang 'em somewhere like S-O-F said. Most importantly a month ago my bub7 main support bracket snapped in two, they replaced them for me,but I had to wait 8 days for the parts to arrive. So I by-passed the downtime with my oem header pipes / rush1.75 slipons. took 1.25 hours to yank the bubs and install the oe's. Good practice. At that point I was real happy to have them on hand.

I thought it would make a great addition to both of my generators. Better that sitting on the shelf useless.

The big reason to hang onto them is for troubleshooting after your warranty runs out.

I was having injector issues so I removed the aftermarket pipes, Screamin' Eagle AC and the PCIII so I could put it back to stock and start troubleshooting.

They aren't worth anything so keep them for emergency.

I did the same thing you did - kept them in the basement. Maybe they will become decoration on the wall of my basement bar, if I ever get that project done (or started).

Doesn't Cali have legalized pot? Someone could figure out how to turn them into bongs.
