Just had stage one put on my '12 FLHX. Are the factory head pipes worth anything but their scrap price. I was lucky enough to sell the factory exhaust from my '11 Fat Boy to a co-worker for $75, but I still have the factory exhasut to a '08 Night Rod Special in the rafters of my garage. Should I even bring the pipes home or take them directly to scrap. Does anyone know of a place that will pay anything for the pipes??
I bought a set to cut out the cats for 25 bux. I wanted to keep mine just in case the gov makes us put the cats back on. they don't take up that much room. And NO, there not worth that much.
I have the OEM exhasts/mufflers from all of our bikes, just in case.
Ya never can tell if a buyer wants the bike as it came, or as other have mentioned, our friends at the EPA may get a bug up their butt someday and try enforcing is to go "silent"!
