That varies and depends on just how far you want to take it and who you talk to to. Everyone has different opinions on suspension...ultimately it's your decision. Personally, I prefer Works suspension components, but that's just me.
The true trac stabilizer will set you back approximately 400 bones. Like I said, as for suspension, just shop around and do your homework. You could look on ebay for a good used set of FXDX take off rear shocks to start with. The front end can be beefed up with Works components, Ricor components...the list goes on. Stay away from Progressive shocks if you're looking for any type of performance.
Howard at Motorcycle Metal offers some very good suspension products.
One thing I forgot to mention is that the FXDX came with dual front disc brakes....the newer dynas do not, with the exception of the Fat Bob. You can convert your front end to dual discs, but then again, more money spent.
In the end, you're limited only by the size of your wallet.
maybe start with a FXR. Here is an old photo of it but looks much different now. You need a motor brace/torque arm between the trans and motor on evo type for HP over 100 as the inner primary comes loose or breaks. These things handle great especially when attention is given to weight reduction to under 500#.

love that bike...especially the cf wheels
did it start life as an FXR?the reason for the question is the round back bone and the v part of the frame is missing
Looked like most of the B.T.2.O. footage was from Japan ... looked familiar ....
Pretty sweet red Dyna with purple tribal flames ... carbed bike sounded way cool ... looked like 35mm forks ... and of course the king sporty tank ... a lot easier to do with a carbed bike ....
Third video adds a visual to the old expression 'ride it like ya stole it!' ....
