When I dropped $10K for my bike the first thing I did was RTFM!

All you want to do, is find the spot where the power transmission components are 'idling'. Not under any load from acceleration or slowing down: just a slight turn out of the throttle is all that is needed.... a split second before/as the clutch comes in... needs to be a smooth operation
