I'm getting a set this winter but can't decide between 12 or 14 inch...I know your 12" bars are 1 1/2" over the stock bars but is there much of a difference in the height of your hands? I think the 12" bars angle down more than the stock bars. Did it take long to change the bars? Would love to go with the side mounted plate but with our dinner plate size tag here in Canada, it would be like a sail on the side of the bike ....

Your bike looks great..

Looks good.was considering those bars in 14".. but I would move the indicators from the bars and move them to the lower tripletree..bars look a bit cluttered.

Thanks for the comments! Ya I went with the 12"s because I felt that was the best riding position for me, plus I was not all too sure if I needed to get longer cables and my budget is tight already so I went with those. Ya I need to move those signals, I was going to get em moved while I had the bike apart but I suppose Ill just wait till next paycheck.

The whole deal took me one whole evening and all morning of the next day. The biggest issue I had was unhooking the smaller connectors that are used for the signals. I went to the dealer and they just gave me a paper clip that was grinded down to fit in and release each individual wire. The next long process was actually fitting the wires and braided loom through the new bars. Best advice is PATIENCE! along with what others say....a wire, string, chain with a weight at the end and some sort of lubricant. The video that SC Longhair posted was a big help too. Good luck
