Hello,
I have an 05 FXDC carbed Dyna.
Looking at puting 95 kit in with ported heads and Andrews 570 geared cams with flat top pistons.
Looking at a SE race tuner kit part no. 32124-04 that another member has for sale here.
I know nothing about these and did a net search and read the HD blurb on it.
Are these any good to use on the set up I have?
How hard are they to program?
Do I need anything else to swap it over? or is it plug and play?
I was looking at a few other setups like dynatec and crane but these are a lot more $$$ to buy.
Any feedback?
Thanks
Bundy
Well dude if the RT your looking at has never been used ok. But you can only install the sert on one bike. You cannot take it off say your fxdc and put it on an fxd b or f or even another fxdc, the sert takes the internal #'s of the bike once and that's where she stays. ++ alot of guys have much trouble with their sert until it is dialed in right. there really is no cheap fix for that kind of thing, you want power and quality you have tobuy it. I'm not sayig there isn't a sweet deal out there for you somewhere. I have a pcV which works well for 300$ just plug and play,if you want to do engine work and mod it now and then you will need the autotune and that is 300$ on it's own. If I had it to do over I would go with the TTS mastertune. It's almost a home dyno on your laptop, but a little less user freindly,ie there is some work and tweaking to do-----good luck whatever you choose.
Thanks for the reply madd ghost.
Planning on keeping this bike for a long time.
I will give it a go for the price.
I am not going to do anything radical, I just like the idea of messing around with the advance to stop detonation.
UMMM, I'm pretty sure you said you're bike was carbed. If thats the case you can have it tuned with about $40 in jets for the carburetor. A TTS or SERT would do nothing on your bike.

I didn't mean changing the fuel supply delivery. The carby handles that, I am talking about the spark advance through the rev range being adjustable with the ability to retard the spark. The Sert no. 32124-04 is for carbed bikes
Thanks

Sorry for being such a dope ,I misunderstood your needs. You could call fuelmoto and inquire as to the profficiency of the pcV. they are a good bunch of people and stock lots of stuff. They tune carbed and non carbed bikes all the time. The number often appears at the top or on the side of this page.
I have the daytona twin tech Ignition module on mine... It is a benefit to have. Easy to advance the timing and of course change the rev limiter. It will allow for finer tuning on the dyno.
To the other posters:
The OP has a CARB... pcv, sert's, tts mastertune etc. are for fuel injection!
Glad we cleared that up....hehehe
I will go with the SERT now as it is a good price and I will do all the motor stuff now and then fit the sert with a dynotune following that.
Thanks for the replies
