with my wife on the back on right hand turns with a few bumps in them I usually scrape the lower baffle bolt(FXDF with rush slip-ons)With stock muffs I used to scrape the bottom tip of the lower muffler.Rub your finger over it to see if it feels rough. No harm done although it limits cornering hard 2 up.
Thats where its at. On the very end 2" of the muffler. I guess its not that bad.
Be careful not to lean much farther once this scraping starts. I managed to unload the rear wheel a bit playing in the twisties. Thankfully the tires had good tread and the oncoming lane was empty so I had some space to recover. I've adjusted my riding style to recognize this limitation.

+1
First time I scraped a Harley was on my old Fat Boy, planted the floorboard hard enough to kick the rear wheel out a few inches. That was a little...interesting. Was going fairly slow on a hard left turn and the board caught hard. Learned real quick about the lean limitations.

So the general conception is; is that this is normal if I'm turning right with the Wideglide two up??? Then there's only one solution for me and my wife then.......get another bike. Maybe something along the line of an Electra-Glide.
My stock pipes would drag the ground and they got scuffed up quick. I put on a Bubs 2:1 and it too has already got an initiation mark. I think it's the nature of the beast. I was wondering if it would be beneficial to put a "sacrificial" tab on the bottom of the pipe to keep the damage to a minimum. Just a small section of metal or nylon equivalent. Anybody else done something like that.
You need to have the throttle on when leaning in the turns.
Giving it the gas raises the suspension and lets you lean more and go faster.
More gas with the counter steering lets you take the turns at a much higher rate of speed. Practice it and you will see the difference.

OR.....stop taking your wife with you ; ) Can't believe no one suggested that yet!
