Default Scraping cornering right

When my wife is riding with me, and almost every time we turn right, I'm scraping something. Definitely metal, sounds like it could be the pipes(haven't looked real good yet, doing it today from yesterdays ride). Two questions; my wife and I top out together at @400 lbs. Are we, even with the preload on the shocks at their stiffest, too heavy for the bike? And secondly, if we are within the acceptable weight limit and the pipes are actually scraping, will stiffer, taller, stronger, air, etc.... new shocks be better and stop the scraping and what kind?

Thanks

If you don't feel vibration on your right foot then it's gotta be your pipes scrapeing. Also while riding with the wife if you aren't bottoming out then your preload is fine though you could try adjusting it,clockwise for soft counter for stiff. I'm not sure about the WG but I know my bike needs four extra lbs in the rear tire for two up. Longer shocks Will help raise the back end and theoretically less scrapeing, but then don't forget to raise the front as well. Sweeeeeet looking bike BTW!

Hey, with having a kid, my bragging moments are so few and far between now that I have to take any chance I can get.

Can you explain the scraping?

In the photo above it's you running the Dragon as hard as you can with that low hanging, chrome thunderheader (which doesn't have any chrome where those sparks are coming from ).

In the OPs case it's just lean angle and weight.

He just needs to slow down and not countersteer so much....

with my wife on the back on right hand turns with a few bumps in them I usually scrape the lower baffle bolt(FXDF with rush slip-ons)With stock muffs I used to scrape the bottom tip of the lower muffler.Rub your finger over it to see if it feels rough. No harm done although it limits cornering hard 2 up.

Mine scrapes w/out passenger. The only mystery is why you would post the question without looking your bike over first.

The V & H SS's are pretty well tucked up and in compared to lots of the other pipes too BTW.
