Default Rush Slip Ons Installed

Finally had the time to replace my stock mufflers with the Rush slip ons (1.75 baffle) ... incredible difference. Sounds like a Harley now.

Rush makes excellent quality mufflers, and they give a nice deep tone that is much like the older "for off road use only" Screamin' Eagle mufflers.

I'm running the baloney cut Rush mufflers on my modified WideGlide, with 2" baffles..

I got the Rush slip ons w/2.0" baffles on my Fat Bob, but there is a downside: I can't stop laughing at all the car alarms I set off riding through midtown Manhattan.....

I got the Rush w/2" baffles. I'm not impressed.

Default Sound & Tuning

I was thinking of doing the same thing. Do the 1.75s require any type of tuning, maps, air cleaner upgrade, etc?

Not according to what I've read in the forum and what Fuel Moto tells me. I put the 1.75s on yesterday and took her around the block (about 5 miles) ... everything seemed fine. Got her up to 60+ without any popping or noticeable issues. I've been told once I replace the a/c I'll need to get a tuner.

Default Rushes Rock!

I have Rush 1.75"s on my '08 FXDF and 2.0"s on my '08 FXDWG. Both have stock A/C and no download.

To my ear the 2.0"s have a deeper sound but I get a little bit of popping on decel. The 1.75"s sound almost as good but have no popping.

I had Rush w/ 2.25 baffles and XIED's on my '08 SB. When I first started it and gave it a good rev flames shot out the pipes,LOL. It adjusted and I liked them. Loud/Deap/Low bark. More power too. But definatly needed some fuel management since I had the SE 1 A/C. The XIED's worked though. I've since upgraded again to V&H and PC-V...The muffs are now for sale. Sold the XIED's.

I just purchased a set of Rush with 2.0 baffles (that I have not revieved yet) and plan to just use xieds with them. They may be too loud, but I can always swap the baffles if they are...
jluvs2ride, what was it you didn't like about Rush???
