Well after I installed the Cycle Shack slipons Ive had this vibration through the whole bike . it doesnt do it while idling but from say 20 to 55 mph in any given gear or a decelleration , its weird to explain ya cant hear it but ya can sure feel it . Any ideas ? or have any of you experienced this after changing your stock muffs?
Not an expert by any means but I would say any time you change how air flows through the bike you are going to experience some sort of change in the feel of the bike especially on deceleration. When I put my SE11 slip ons on my bike it definately felt a lot different than with the stock mufflers. Much of that vibration feeling you are talking about went away for me when I put in the se stage 1 kit and had the carb re-jetted. Harley says you don't have to have any adjustments when just replacing pipes however it would stand to reason because of the difference in air flow the bike would feel different.
I had a little more vibration on my 03 WG with Cycle Shack slip ons also. Don't know why, but it was there. Didn't have it with stock muffs or Straightshots. Don't currently have it with a Pro Pipe.
These bikes are way "lean" stock, pipes probably increased flow and now you are leaner than before.
Take a ride in the early morning, cool heavy air, and see if it is less vibration, then try it mid day when the air is hot & light, probably get the vibration more. I say your ECM is leaning out the mixture due to increased flow, but then richens it up a little when the outside air is cool & heavy.
