Digging back up this thread to ask some questions for those of you that have don't the conversion to a single 7 inch headlight can you provide some info about how the mounting is done?

Another option is the Cee Baileys Dark Windshield. I dig the looks and buffeting is a non-issue.

I have the 7" Fat Boy headlight with the visor ring. The mounting block is Harley Davidson, part #69611-06. I've attached a couple of pics showing some approximate dimensions.

What options are there for adding a 7 inch headlight with LED? I would be interested in that route if feasible. I am back and forth on the stock dual headlight and think the single would be the route for me.

Default Fairing Update

I just saw all your post about putting a detachable fairing on your FXDF Fatbob's. I just got off the phone with one of my venders Hoppe Industries who make the Quadzilla and other similar styled fairings, they are currently working on a fairing for the FLD which will be out in a month and the FXDF which will be in aprox 2-3 months still since that will be completely redesigned.

Any standard or bullet 7" housing will work with the Kuryakyn brand or trucklite brand 7" LED headlight assembly. I had two truck lite LED units for my Jeep but picked up a 7" Adjure flame bullet off eBay and used one of my truck lite LED's on my Fat Bob. I had to get a billet mounting block for a 7" headlight off eBay as well cause the dual light mount would not work with a single bucket and then I picked up some hardware from the chrome bolt and accessory bin at ACE hardware to mount it up nice and snug. I also spliced in weatherproof plugs between the harness and the bullet as well as the H4 plug inside the bullet so I can always use a 7" housing for halogen if I want to go HID or Halogen. When I can afford a batwing, I think it will look great with the 7" bullet and LED.

I know this is an old thread but I just saw a Hoppe Industies ad in a motorcycle mag that had a Fat Bob sporting a Road Glide type fairing (looked a little more rounded though). When I went to their website I saw no such thing listed...

If I can remember my photobucket password I'll upload the pic of the advertisement...
