Question about SE A/C install
I was bored so I decided I would go ahead and prep the bike for the SE Stage 1 A/C install since it will be arriving tomorrow via UPS. The weather isn't too great around here and I have no intention of riding right now anyway.
So, I got the stock A/C off and when I was pulling the backplate off, there was a capped connector on the back of it. I am just wondering if the SE A/C will have somewhere to connect this to (as the stock A/C does) or if this connector or sensor is utilized by the new A/C? I just don't want it danglin' around or anything. What is this connector for anyway? Looking at the throttle body, there seems to be a few unused (ie. capped off type) connections.

I put a tie wrap on mine and hid it.

I've got a "Harley Davidson international" make. Called HDI.
On our bikes there is an extra "flap door" in the intake, controlled by the ECM to open up and give extra air when WOT.
When you mount the SE AC, the connection to this "flap door" will be left over.
FWIW, I've left the wiring to the "flap door" with no connecation, tied it up with a wrap after my install of a SE AC, without any problems.
No DTC, or any another problems.
Sorry to hear about your bad weather-
.
Belive it or not, we've got faboulous tropical weather here in Sweden right now!!!
