Ride a 09 FXDC. I swapped my front end to totally chromed ones.
My question is my fork kinda feels very soft and i'm planning to get the progressive forks.
Do I need to changed the fork oil when I do that?
The dealer near told me that, I dont have to change fork oils in 50000miles. Is this true?
If i buy something other than HD fork oil what weight should I go for?
When you get the prog fork springs the instructions will tell you what to use as per your weight. At least that is what they told me on the phone tuh other day.
I used the Amsoil Shock Therapy fork oil, medium /10wt, my levels were off from the factory about 4oz.
+1 on the amsoil, that I put in mine streetbpb when I did the progressive springs 1 months ago, and I had 5400 miles on my scoot. You could search back about a month ago, and find my post when I included pics, the stock fork oil looked like two week old coffee grounds, and smelled just as nasty. So in short, yes man, change that oil.
