Default Front Brake Options

Anyone out there that has replaced the front brake on a 97 or thereabouts 1340 WG...What did you go to and was it a good option.

Have you looked into Performance Machines brakes?

I went with 4-piston PM (Performance Machine) chrome calipers and am using Ferodo pads ('97 WG). The other option I would have looked at, but didn't know at the time was Brembo. Glad I stuck with PM since they are made in the USA.

I feel this was a good option, especially vs. the stock 2-piston caliper.

I'm replacing the stock single piston, floating calipers, with 4 piston Brembo's this winter .

Hey Rebyl, this is probably a little late, but my buddy has a 98 Wide Glide and he put PM 4 piston calipers, Lyndall Gold pads, floating rotor and stainless line on his and it is the only Harley I have ridden that actually has brakes. I have a 2001 Wide Glide with stainless lines and Lyndall Gold pads and it doesn't stop. I already have 4 piston calipers so am going through very tedious research to decide what to do. If you haven't already done something, I think if you follow my buddies example you will be very happy.
Cheers,
Don
