HD Flush Mount Gauge and Cap
I was considering doing this as my next mod. I knew they had come out with a gloss black version and, though I love chrome, I like to mix black with it and had decided that I might go with the black version. So, I was bummed when I pulled out my 09 P&A catalog and found that the black version is only available for 09 models (p/n 75327-09) and the chrome version has a different part number for 09's vs. earlier models (62910-09 vs. 62910-06). Anyone have an idea why the 09's are different? Is it in the electronics maybe (I know they've added a couple more bells and whistles such as the miles til empty, etc.)? Or, anyone been in a store recently and seen or do you know if maybe they have a black version that will work with an 07 and it's just not in my catalog?
Anyway, here is what my tank looks like now. Going with the chrome version isn't going to kill it, obviously. But I hate to go with the chrome and then find out there is a black version that will work. Opinions?
