Hello all What a stressful day speraticly my bike would NOT start and the alarm light would flash
So I grabed my other key/fob ( thought the fob may have a problem)
When out riding my friend said my tail light was not working speraticly the break light was working
BUT than it came back on
At our last stop it took almost an hour to start it - disconected the bat to see if that would reset something took off the seat and checked all conections with no luck-
Anyone think it could be as simple and the bat is low in my fob not alowing the bike to start - that dont explain the tail light but WTF ????
Yes my battery was low in my fob and it would sometimes let me start it then sometimes not. Put a new battery in (well used out of a computer) and it has been fine since. No idea about the tail light problem though.
I see you used another fob and you still had the problem? Maybe not a battery problem then but still I'd replace the battery, it's cheap anyways.
The bat is clean and tight
I am thinking it is something with the Security system since the lights are flashing and the start switch has no power
We tryed push starting it the motor turned but would not stay running
Mine did it the other day when the bike was cold, I had to wave the keyfob around the fuse box to get it to connect with the security system antenna. I do not like this system, anyone know how to deactivate the security module?
Did you try by-passing the security system?? That would let you know wether or not the fob ws fk'd. It seems more like you have a short somewhere, like the others said check your fuse box for moisture, check all fuses if needs be. If the start switch has no power it may be that the short is there.
