Anyone have a problem mounting the True Track with an Engine Guard?
interfere with the Factory Engine guard installed on my 2009 FXDC.
There's nothing on the website or in the installation instructions about this
and I've never heard anyone mention it before..
Is the mech misinterpreting the installation guide?
I've been emailing and talking to the folks at True Track and I'm waiting to see
what they have to say. I've got an idea, but I'm not sure if there is enough "meat"
on the guard's mounting flange to make it work.
Right now I am not a happy camper.....
No, the problem is the actual right side frame attachment. The True Track and
it interfere with each other.

The folks at TRue track have been very helpful, but the only solution is to whack
off the right side mount and rework it to give more clearance by having the u-bolt
relocated. Unfortunately, there is not enough "meat" on the bracket to just drill
another set of holes; I'm going to have to have a new piece made.

In this photo, you can see where the link hits the guard mount. When the TT
is tightened into place, (it's loose in this photo) the link head is exactly where
the guard flange and bolt are.
BTW, HD's Dyna-specific oil cooler also can not be used with a True Track;
it attaches in the space occupied by that big forged arm.
.
I see the problem! My guard has integral brackets and fixes where your forward controls are, on the outside of the lower frame tubes, so they are well away from the TT mount you show. Are you sure your guard is a Harley factory one?
Someone on HDF has posted photos showing how they got their oil cooler to fit on with their front TT, so worth a search back if you can find it.
Since you've shown me yours, I'll show you mine:
Admiring my post reminds me of something. There is a lock-nut and bolt on the lower mount, which is supposed to be set up with some clearance. I found the nut was difficult to get a spanner/wrench on and the darn bolt unscrewed and locked the whole thing solid! Engine vibrated like you cannot imagine. I had to partly dismantle the thing, to sort the bolt out, and then just screwed it in very tight, to fill the hole. Hang the clearance, which I could see no purpose for anyway!

Yes, that's the jen-you-whine official Harley engine guard for the 2009 Dyna. I
bought the bike while it was still in the box and had to be assembled at an
out-of-town dealer, then went to the local stealer's (note difference in spelling,
it ain't accidental) parts department and got all the accessories straight from the
parts bin.
I'll have to look for that oil-cooler post. I haven't decided if I need one or not, but
I'd like to know how to do it if necessary.

I'm not familiar with the Jaguar set-up (thanks for the tip) but I've seen
similar concepts and I'll definitely look into that.
