We have all there sponsors on the forum well where are the ones that cater to Chroming like say for the 49mm triple trees that are virtually impossible to buy without spending $600.00 , i see alot of 49mm chrome Wide Glide trees out there but not many for the 2006 - present 49mm Mid Glide , i might as well buy the Wide Glide trees which are the same prices . I'm thinking about going with this company with the 49 mm 3.0 rake it will have the stance of the lowrider ( that's what he said ) he would make me the 0. degree but the front end would rise up because of the way the tree is made , he said at 3.0 degree will balanced out the look and a pleasure to ride down the road, and they have in house show chroming too !http://www.hawghalters.com What are your comments on 3.0 rake on a 49mm Dyna model ?

I hear ya! I sent my triple trees out last year to www.brownsplating.com because of this same reason. Nobody really sells chrome 49mm replacement triple trees unless you spend $500 or more on aftermarket ones or go with the wideglide trees. If I remember right they charge around $235.

They have been around for years and i was just at there web site last nite , they don't guarantee against a pitted chrome job if you find any you have to send them back and pay the shipping both ways , are you happy with there work , no pit marks ?
I've heard you can polish the trees until they basically look chrome. I imagine that means you have to keep polishing to keep them that way. I took some never dull and elbow grease to mine recently and didn't work on them very long and they look much better. I read a post about repeating that until they appear chrome. If you remove the trees and send them to Joe Knapp, he can probably get them pretty close for you.
that is right... we can polish them and then use an Acrylic clear over them to keep them looking shiney and new...
this has been polished and cleared to give you an idea... we do quite a bit of show polishing... there is a section for that on our web page if you wnat to check it out

Thanks, Wonka !
I'm totally satisfied with their work. I had them do my triple trees & exhaust bracket and I'm really impressed with their work. It's not a cheap chrome job. I didn't worry about pitting issues since my trees were like new, but even if they weren't, they do take the necessary steps to make sure that doesn't happen. It's all in the prep work.
