Default Performance Machine 4-Piston

So I am having a terrible week at work and have no energy to search other threads for an answer to this question. I have an 04 super glide and am looking for better front brake performace. Has anyone upgraded to a Performace Machine 4 piston?? If so, would you recommend it as a worthwile upgrade? Thanks for the help all.

If you could go harley brembo that would be the way to go. I say this only because of emergency parts on the road.

I'd keep in mind the ease of finding replacement pads too. That seems to be the sticking point with aftermarket brake calipers.

I switched to PM brakes years ago. It is a nice upgrade over stock. Never had a problem locating replacement pads. An added bonus is they look great.

I've used FabKevin's Tokiko kits before, they are common superbike calipers.

They stop better than anything Harley or PM produce, and are easy to get parts for.

He makes adapters for nearly any bike.

Harley has now been using the Nissin brakes on their big touring bikes as well as on the new XR1200 and the Nissin brakes were also used on the late model Buell bikes. Great brakes and you can get the parts over the counter at your local Harley dealer too!

In the past I've had PM calipers. The caliper's pads also fit Gold Wings. I always have a cross-reference list of common items in my tour bags, just in case.

Have to be careful. They might also think I'm quiet.

I'm running PM calipers and think they are night & day over the stock crap! You won't have a problem finding pads either. Look at lyndall for replacement pads!

Can you support your statement below that Tokiko is superior to PM or is that just your opinion?

BTW, I like a lot of fabkevins stuff.
