How cool would it be if the Bob was discontinued after 06? I'm prayin.
The Bob Club would be more exclusive plus a collectable with an even bigger pemium on denim black. Again, I would love to see the WG offered in Denim Black-I think its sales would soar.
I think it would be cool. Or at least change it up significantly. Maybe just take the same treatment to a different model. Looks like it will be back though, it's on the `07 color sheet.
I was talking to the salesman that sold me my Bob. He said that they are selling used right now for way over MSRP because paople are so desperate to get one and don't want to wait. He told me if I wanted to trade for a different bike they could give me at least what I paid for it if not more. They are currently at a premium Once the 07s come out it will not be so but if anyone wants sell now is the time.
Yeah, that and a wideglide denim Bob-i think sales would hit the roof with that combo-would be hard to resist. And though the springer idea would be an extremely cool look, I'm not a springer fan. But the wideglide denim and bobbed-that would be the sh$^&!!!
As far as availability and demand for Bobs is concerned I saw two on the floor near my hood at MSRP. I'm glad I didn't have to sell my bike, but not long after I bought it I thought I might be moving so I put my bike in the Cycle Trader and I only got ONE phone call from a three week photo ad placed in VA and NC. That call was a guy who said his friend was thinking of buying one and he wanted to know why I was selling. Of course now I'm happy I've still got it, so maybe Harseidon or Davideus or one of the other mythical bike gods were watching over me.
Discontinuing the "BOB" would be like Hidden Valley discontinuing their ranch dressing. Hell people eat that on everything. I'm sure someone even eats it on pancakes.
