I had $40 bucks to spend at the local dealer and I get 15% off on stuff..and since my rear tire got taken out recently, I went ahead and picked up a SE 180 for the rear. I was going to go aftermarket, but for the price I got I couldn't complain much.
Point is, my father has a '10 WG and it is the SAME tire. I noticed it when they brought it out from the back. Just an interesting observation. I know they are moving to a different brand for the 2010 bikes, just throwing their old stock on the early ones kinda made sense to me.
I think I'll replace my front with a SE right before next riding season to match things up. I can't hardly believe they charge $259 bucks for that rear tire.
I was confused too but it sounds like the $40 was some sort of store or points credit. You'll like that tire. But I'm surprised they sold it to you without making you buy the entire wide tire kit. I had to get my indy to order mine but that was no big deal because he got it for me cheaper than HD retails it for.
Yeah, I had $40 left over on a credit from some dealer cash they shot my way for a reference. My local dealer is pretty cool, no flack at all about the stupid wide tire kit or anything.
