As far as adjusting to the handling, I had only ridden dirt bikes on trails (& unpoliced roads) then for a few days I rode a 400 lb Honda 550. When my Bob was delivered I got on and drove off and there wasn't nuthin' to it.

Last bike i owned was a 79 Sporty....got back into riding after a 21 year hiatus and 10 minutes on the Bob and it was like i'd never been away! Go for it...they are great bikes.....

At the stealer here in SOCAL they stay on the floor for about 4 business days!!! When I got mine 4 other guys were buying Bobs as well. Just glad that they all chose the Flat black color!!!!
bob is my first harley. love it. i don't know whats going on states side but i haven't seen another bob on the road. i've been in two rally's one with 600 bikes the other with around 200 and not a bob in sight. personally i think you'd be happy with anything in the dyna line.
