Default Check Engine.

Hey guys, its me again, this is a simple question, and I'm looking for direction again.

I'm wrench savy so I'm not in panick mode, but with my scoot, I'm not to sure, its a combination of nerves, and unfamiliarity.

When I start my scoot, the "Check Engine" light lights up, stays on for a few minutes, then shuts off.

Is this a periodic maintenance reminder, or a sign of a more problematic issue brewing.

I don't notice or feel any problems with my ride in anyway. I'm just curious/ concerned.
My mileage is just shy of the 5k mark.

Ok guys Hit me.

Sapper, just did it. I got 3 codes, 2 of which are self explanatory cause of my Power Commander.
The 02sensors.

But I also got code P0505. Idle control Valve.

Yikes. Is that a Problem?

If the other two are related to your PC also, try re-flashing your map.

...after you reprogram your PC follow the instructions in the other thread to purge your errors and then re-run the tests.

What factors where involved to cause the change/errors?

Sorry just saw the O2 Sensor part. You shouldnt get errors for the O2 sensors, even if they are still connected and not terminated.

No, they're disconnected. I naturally assumed the ECM flashed a code cause it didn't read.
The codes I got were P0373, and P0374

I recently updated my firmware to my PC. Not the MAP, but the firmware. Could that be a problem.

Secondly, would the Check Engine light come on, then go off for like a maintenance reminder
?

Bump for more input, when I get home tonight, ill reset the codes.

Just wondering if there are any other issues that could set off the Codes.
