ok. got another stumper,bet you guys getting tired of me talking samo.samo... but,hey... i put one qt in my 2006 bob. dealer tells me only 22oz,dang,all different answers from diff dealers !!!
part one.. do you check with bike straight up,or on side stand ?
part 2,how many oz did others here put in 06 dyna 6 speed.
i will try to make this my last fluid question
right now it reads right at full mark on jiffy stand ?????????????????????????????????????????????????? ????????
i just don't want to puck it up,u know . i hear to much can blow seals too ??????????
i put in one full qt.

I just did mine on the weekend and i put in 28oz and it was over full, i had to drain abit to get it bang on. If your dip stick is reading full then its full, go by that and not the amount put in.

The dyna service manual spec.s 32 oz for the 6 speed trans and 32oz for the primary. Check oil hot on the jiffy for trans & engine. The big issue is getting all the old oil out when you change it. Here is what I do.
1. get bike warmed up
2. put a 1x4" block of wood under jiffy
3. remove drain bolt and drain oil into catch pan.
4. sit on bike and rock back & forth sideways and more oil will come out.
5. Do this for engine, trans & primary.
BUT.....if you buy a service manual for $45.........it will have pictures & all the specs.
BTW, the engine holds 3 quarts but that's bone dry.......an oil change with some oil left in the case will use 2.5 quarts with a new filter.

I have been putting 32oz in tranny and primary, just as my service manual says.

i have the h.d. manual... just confirming the nfo. sure odd my dealer told me 22 oz... makes ya wonder,eh ?
i just like to hear what real life people do on the bike. real people here do not tell fibbers. LOl ..

now,could someone make the #$&^((&%*)%#%$^@$#^%@#$#%^ rain stop here in ohio... had tornado right down the road from me last nite !!!! do a anti-rain dance or something,please. been a real suck summer here to ride. only got 1000 miles on bob so far.
