New Bobber, looking for advice?
Thus, to make setup work:
1) pre-2006 Narrow glide front wheel (Sportster, Dyna, or mail order wheel - be careful to get matching bearing size that will fit your fork leg axle type, i.e 3/4" or 1" axle).
2) Mullins 41mm trees.
3) Harley 41mm fork legs left and right, single-side left brake. I suggest using legs from an FL model (Fatboy, Heritage, Dresser, Road king, etc.) due to no "bump" on legs like a FXDWG or Softail Custom type.
4) Measure for, and order new wheel spacers (they will be very narrow ones for this setup). These are easy to find everywhere.
5) Install an internal fork stop on the Mullins trees to use your neck lock.
** You may need a correct front brake caliper depending on the year fork tubes you use.
** You may need a correct front brake rotor depending on year wheel you use.
The Mullins frontend with the correct handlebar setup and small 5" headlight will make your FXSB stand out in the crowd, for sure.
I didn't notice originally that the tank was banged up pretty good on that one side. You could have the tank side banged out and have it narrowed, get rid of the console, and install a single center or offset gas cap and it would flow with the narrow front end. SICK!
