Thats some funny s%^t Tom. Brought back memories of my first and last attempt at painting a bike. Sounds like we had similar results. Thankfully it wasn't on a $15k Harley.

I tried to customize a guitar once with a new paint scheme and it turned in to a demonically possessed log of wood. I'd say practice on something else till you're sure you can pull it off. You did inspire me and refueled my desire to put some silver flames on my cobalt bob. Thanks for that.

Truer words were never spoken. Just took my WG tins down to bare metal, acid etch primer, 600 grit wetsand, 1 K primer/surfacer, 600 grit wetsand, 2 coats of bright metallic silver, 4 coats of candy blue pearl. Now ready to color sand 800 grit wetsand and shoot 2 wet clear coats, then 1500 grit wetsand, glaze, and polish.......
