Angry S&S 106 big bore

bike is apart im doing an s&s 106 big bore 10 to 1 compression and some head work just wondering anybody out there has done it yet. only down fall is a required 1000 mile break in period. dyno tune probally wont be till spring.

s&s fits the pistons at .001 to .0015 dont ask me why, its going to be a cold break in period

Be sure and tell the porter that you have 10-1 pistons. If he mills anything off your heads it will be too much compression for those 37s and it will ping. Those cams run best at around 9.8 cr. I suggest using .040 head gaskets not .030.

Take this advice. I put one together and it was a ping monster in the heat. I would try some Singh grooves in the heads while you are there.

no crazy port work just a little around the valve seat and larger valves 1.90 int. and 1.60 exh....... not head shaving .....over budjet already maybee down the road about complete port work all depends on the dyno numbers

I agree with BLKBAGGER on the grooves. I am getting ready to put a 98" kit in my bike and my head porter asked me to bring my heads to him for the grooves.
