Default No left signals!!! HELP!

I need to get my bike to pass inspection, and for some reason, during my last ride the left signals quit working. I have changed the bars and grips, but all has been working well for 6+ months. I have a 08 Street Bob.

The key light started coming on, and the signals started flashing fast, then the key light stayed on, and no signals. I have tried to wiggle all wires, etc. and can get no response. Right signals work perfectly.

The ignition seems to be loose, but I do not know why this would affect the left signals. Any help is greatly appreciated.

My 08 FXDF did the same thing. The back tire had rubbed through the wiring for the rear turn signal.
You certainly have a bad wire connection.

Since you have changed out the bars, there may be a pinched wire somewhere. All it takes is vibration to finally cut the covering and then you get a short and the signal stops working.
I'd start looking closely at the wires first where the wires go thru the switch covers, easy to pinch them between the bars and covers.

You turn the key on and all four signals flash 6 times, correct?
There is a error code stored, not sure how to get it on the newer bikes but do a search on here and I'm sure someone has posted it. Once you fix the problem you will have to clear the code or the code will clear on it's own after 50 starts.

If the ignition is loose and goes bad nothing works, I've already replaced mine once.

Good luck - hope this helps.
Post up what you find out so you may help others out.

I've had had a wire rub on the back tire, it eventually shorted out and showed the same symptoms as you have. I don't know how to get the error codes either but just started checking all the wires. it sounds like you have a loose or broken wire somewhere. Good luck dude, I hope this helps.

This is the likely cause of the problem.. That is where I would start the search

Thanks for the help guys. It was the rear tire that cut the left turn signal wire, and had almost cut the right turn signal. Fixed them both, and fabbed up some tabs to keep the wires from getting to the tire again.

Thanks again yall.
