changing out the A/C on my street bob and i think i'm going with the SE heavy breather with the black elbow.
my original thoughts were to go with a forward facing spike style air cleaner but i cant seem to find one for under 450 bucks.
they're generally the same in appearance (and i'm assuming the SE is going to perform a little better on my bike)
the only thing i'm missing is the spike filter cover. my question is does anyone make a similar cover to go over the SE heavy breather? i guess i'm looking for the best of both worlds here.
I would take a look at JP Cycles either online or try and see if you can get a book I look at that book constantly to try and find something to put on the bike, and every time I look i always find something else I want so try there
I haven't seen any that really fit the SEHB. Most of the aftermarket intakes that have a cover available, have a different shape or a smaller filter. That might be a good winter project...
I have the SE heavy breather on my 07 FXDL. The only thing I don't like about it is the ugly rust colored air filter. I usually keep the black rain sock on it.

You know the black rain sock is not intended to be on there as a decoration right? It actually reduces air flow IMO. I keep mine in a saddlebag just in case of rain otherwise-not.

You can buy different colored charge oils for the element, but I forget if they are K&N or another. Love my HB; hated banging my knee into the football all the time. I didn't notice a performance change, but I wasn't expecting one, nor do I ride aggressively enough to notice if there were one. I think there are some HB-style aftermarket units on ebay that have the spike-looking cover on the element you're looking for...can't speak to their quality, but the price is at least reasonable.
