Just had the fifty thousand mile service done along with cam tensioners, cams and new oil pump. You can definitely feel the difference, once you get off idle she runs like a bat outta hell.
I was conflicted about running this cam instead of the 203. The tech went ahead and ordered the 204 and said he was sure I'd like it a lot better than the 203. So far he's right, although the weather has been so bad I've only ridden about fifty miles since I picked up the bike Saturday nite.
Good Luck
Tom
First time I've tried one of these videos, but I think if you double click on the pic it will link to my Potobucket site where you can view the video.
The SE 204's are a very nice 'all around' cam, and make excellent power throughout the RPM range. (lift of 508/508 and duration of 236/240)... They are also a true bolt in application which doesn't require different springs or adjustable pushrods.
I was running the SE 204's in my Wide Glide before I decided to go a little more radical and install the SE 258's. (life of 569/569 and duration of 258/258). The SE 258's produce more power in the mid to upper RPM range, but also require heavier springs and adjustable pushrods. They also work best when running higher compression and modified heads.
I just put a set of 204's in mine and only had a chance to ride it once for about 15 miles so far I like them they pull good, now with the weather here it looks like I will wait till spring to get a good test
Sounds great, had to watch it twice!!! How does it run??
Since it was your first video post copy the direct link text and paste it in you post and you can play right on the thread without opening another window or double clicking.
The 204 does a service to that ol' school sled ... you've really got it goin' on with the long forks, attitude stick, up-turned trumpet exhaust (hand made by your own self) and topped off with Von Dutch style pin striping ....
Well done my man ... warms my heart to hear you are doin' it right ....
