Were the stock HD highway pegs too far or too close for your 34" inseam ? I have a 31" inseam so I am wondering which hole on the stock highway bracket I would be. The lower hole reaches out more the top hole brings the pegs back.
Either position was too close for me to be really comfortable but I like the "lower hole" or furtherst away position best. You should try both settings (ride a while, don't just try it on the jiffy stand) it only takes 2 minutes to change it.
Here is what I have noticed for scraping in the twisties:
Pegs will scrape and fold up first.
Exhaust is next.
Once I had my mounting brackets for my mids scrape.
This is with highway pegs on and never touched down and scraped the highway pegs. I think you are safe there.
I have a 29" inseam with mids and use the stock highway pegs that come with the Lowrider and have no problems, I think they are same as what you purchased from Chicago Harley and the customer service from Fox Creek is top notch.

For my 32" inseam, I first tried the "far" setting and I was not comfortable at all....Way too stretched out. I turned the brackets around and it brought them in a couple of inches. Very comfortable now.
