Default standard or extended forwards

Whats your preference if you are in the moderate leg length. (34")? Standard forwards or extended forward controls for a super glide with stock seat? I just started putting extended on, but now I have to go shovel snow

Why do you prefer one over the other?

I also have a 34" inseam. I have HD forwards and use Kury offset extensions to get about 2" more length. I find this set-up much more comfortable than the standard reach of stock forwards. An additional inch of reach (total of 3") might fit my height even better.

Yep, 34" is me and that's what Kuryakyn recommends extended controls - anything over 33" inseam. I bought standards to begin with because I figured, what's an inch right? I rode with them and was okay with them for 2 years. But this year I swapped them out for extendeds and man am I happy with it. It took me a couple of years to dial it in with seats, bars, and controls but now my bike fits me like a glove.

I have a 34 inseam(32" pants inseam). I stuck with the standard forwards. The location of my forwards gives me the same knee bend as when I am driving.

Yeh it's rider preference with 34" inseam. I liked having the bend in my knees and still do have some with my extendeds. But on long rides, my knees would start to kind of get cramped and I'm finding the extendeds helped with that. If you go much beyond 34" though, you almost have to have extendeds to be comfortable. A lot of it depends on what seat you are using also. With my Tallboy seat, which I hate, even though it's supposed to move me back over stock, I felt even more cramped with the standard controls. With something with more wiggle room like a Tripper, Barebones, or Silhouette, you can almost make yourself comfortable with either standard or extendeds. Although, with my barebones and standard forwards, I found myself sitting on the back edge of the seat a lot to get comfortable and then my *** was hurting. Don't have that seat or the standard forwards anymore though. As I said before, fits me like a glove now.
