is anyone here who could spare some advice?
l have a 1999 stock fxdx and l'm thinking about lowering it, witch is the shortest shoks lenght for the rear l can go with, l would like to keep it as stiff as possible. and since l'm here a question about a 2 into 1 exhaust, any sugestions? one more thing what is the deal with the cam bearings? l have 13.000 miles on the bike right now
thanx a lot
I have an FXDI (12.6" standard shocks). I went to 11" heavy duty progressive 410's. They are supposed to come from the factory at the lowest settings. Instead, mine were set at the highest settings. You said you wanted stiff...well these made a rock seem soft and I weigh 250 lbs. Don't know if that info helps, but it's all I know about this time of night. Art
l was looking at progession too to be honest, but was't sure witch lenght l need thanx a lot,
now as far as welding goes a friend suggested welding some shoks colapsed all the way and then install them on the bike (i think they would look a litle better than plain rods). l don't think l am ready for a rigid yet, thank you very much for the reply
