240/250 is really the max. you want to go, any more that that and you really have to muscle the bike around. with a 240, you have to push it a little to corner from what I hear....but you get used to it.[&:] I don't know....I have a 150 on Susie, and I'm happy

I read somewhere on this forum that you could do a 180/55 without any mods.Is this true?

Still has to have the kit. I think it basically centers the fatter tire while keeping the belt away, but since I did not put it on myself I cannot truly say.

I e-mail pm wheels and they told on an 18 X 5.5 rim with a 180 55 r 18 tire was the biggest you can fit in there. that bob in the link looks like they squeezed a night train rear wheel and tire in that bob, I wanted to do that w/a the 06 springer softail wheel and tire but no one could teel me if it would work or not. it look like the night train rear wheel only in a solid chrome disc. i con't read german so i don't know what the link says, but if thats what they did i think i found my next mod!
