Default re-installing springs

Hey people!

Was just re-assembling my front end today on my 2008 streetbob (well most of it) and I got a little confused down the line. Service manual says install spring then in the next step is says install washer and collar, but isnt the washer suppose to go in last like the picture? sooo I just want to confirm before I seal it up:

1 Spring

2 Collar rests on top of spring

3 washer on top of collar, then cap it.

Might seem like a newb question, but the manual just kinda through me off, and I just wanted to confirm from those who have done it before.

Cheers

I remember that when I took mine apart it was the top nut, then this thick washer that sat on top of the spring.... hope it helps

figured it would be smart of me to just read the assembly in reverse since the install didnt seem to make sense with the diagram in the manual; it says removed spring collar then turn fork upside for spring and washer.

so it looks like spring, washer, collar (from bottom to top)?

Jarhead, thats what I thought too. However it seems to say the washer goes between the spring and the collar, maybe it varies by models?

you are correct...

(factory spring goes in with the tight winds down)

then the Washer goes in, then the collar/spacer.....
