The part your bike sits on is wide enough to fit behind the trans to the front of the frame. All the other jacks aren't wide enough which is why you hit the kick stand!!

the lift platform on the j&s is wide enough to fit around the part of the engine that sticks below the frame on the dyna. this jack is awesome.

That's easy to say for people with a job and extra money. If you've been laid off and are running behind on mortgage, utilities, etc. then the high cost of a J&S Jack is the last thing on your mind.

completly understand but if thats the case what happens when the adapters fail and that 15-20k investment is on its side? then you cant even sell the bike to make the mortgage. if money is a problem then the mods should probably be last on the list. you can do maint without a jack. im sure youve seen a few people on here that share they lost their job then the next week they drop several hundred on unneeded mods. So if priorities are twisted why not get something that works?

No doubt friend, you are absolutely correct. No disrespect here, and if that is the position you are in, hopefully things will turn around soon.

However, personally, I have a job, and I love the dog **** out of my ride, and working on it, but I've told myself, if I get whacked by the obama hopey/changey train, lose my yob, then brother, my bike is the first thing to go. My family's first, my house is second, and my ride is third.

Folks with extra money, not here bro, which is why I bought my streetbob used, 9 months old, 2100 miles. None the less, I still dropped 11gs of damned hard earned mula, so I when I went to buy a jack, I sat down on the sears floor for an hour with notes from my bikes bottom end, a measuring tape and I dug the price but I could not justify the quality/beefolity/workmanship of the red or yellow jack with pads or adapters. Not to mention the numerous posts I read that said you still needed roll the dynas up on a 2 x 4 to get it high enough to get on the jack. All BS aside, man to me that's f'n mickey mouse, and after I just dropped 11g's for an extra hundra and a quarter to protect my investment going up in the air, friend I will buy that insurance any day of the week.
The above poster is spot on also, lots of riders will put new chrome/bling over performance/safety upgrades, and I think the jack was the first add on I bought for my scoot.

nope us with the j&s leave it down because the jack picks the bike up right off the jiffy without us touching it. My buddy with the hf jack leaves it up to keep it level because he doesnt have the adapters

Make sure the jiffy stand locks back into position as you lower the bike, otherwise could cause some excitement... don't ask me how I know.
