I use a bike pump to add air to my tires. Works great on stock length valve stems. couple pumps, air back up to spec from being a few psi low. I do use a expensive pump and not a cheap walmart one though.
Yamaha makes one that looks like its the best one I have seen to date and its about $10, got the local dealer ordering some they need to stock up anyway
The stock valve stems are a set length so that they don't hit the rear brake caliper housing when the wheel rotates, anything added to that extends that length I would be very careful about. I bought some valve stem extensions for car tires and screw it on to check air pressure or adjust pressure with a foot pump, usually only 4 psi for two up riding.
Cool^ That looks like it would work fine-Thanks for finding that part
You can also make your own using the tubing from a bicycle pump. Cut the tubing on the end that normally attaches to the pump and replace it with an old schraeder valve from the tire shop secured with a hose clamp. make it what ever length you want. carry it in your bag or pocket.
