no it is too wide to go between the struts. You would have to cut and reweld it to make it more narrow. Besides, the fender is so close on looks you would have about the same style back there. You could take off the limp dick tail light and fill the holes of your fender. Then get run turn stop module kit for the signals.
I don't think wideness has to do with anything , it's the same frame 2006 -2010 , if anything you have to buy the 2010 WG fender struts and hardware then everything should bolt up , maybe you have to deal with the signal lights a little for fitment but that's no biggie ...

Yeah, They are close and the real reason I want to change is the rear brake light, it is hideous... I might have to just rip it off and fill holes lol. Is there a big hole under it or like 3 or so small ones... maybe cap them off if so??

the rear struts are wider for the fatbob and new wideglide. Check out the fitment options for the models back there, like what H-D offers for sissybars. Notice that the sissybars for the fatbob fit the fatbob and wideglide and not other models, it's due to width.
Tim, take the light off, three or 4 small holes. Can have them filled and the fender painted for less than the cost of a new fender I am sure.

There are three screw holes for the taillight and then one large hole in the middle for the wiring harness, and I mean a really big hole in the middle.
You could try a Nightster fender. That would be closer to fitting than a Wide Glide fender. You just have to make sure the bolt holes line up and it's wide enough for your tire.
Stock Nightster is 150 on the back, Street Bob is a 160. I'd put money on making it work.

the sportster fender is about an inch more narrow or so.
